Blue Mass for Law Enforcement

SALINAS – On Sunday, 15 May 2022, the Most Rev. Daniel E. Garcia, 5th Bishop of Monterey in California will celebrate a “Blue Mass” in honor of dedicated law enforcement personnel who put their lives in harm’s way for the good of the community at the parish of Sacred Heart, 22 Stone Street, at 4pm.

May 11-16 is National Police Week, when we recognize and honor the commitment of the law enforcement personnel who safeguard our community. Particularly following the murder of Officer Jorge David Alvarado of the Salinas Police Department, we recognize the sacrifices police and other law enforcement workers make for us.
